SEL Program

The We Mentality has created a comprehensive social-emotional learning curriculum that helps children develop self-management skills and encourages responsible decision making. We have created a program that works at all education levels and even in adult business settings.

Students develop self-awareness and gain the SEL competencies they need for success in the classroom and beyond. We Mentality implements a proven method for social-emotional learning that works in community centers, mental health centers, detention centers, and other institutions beyond a classroom setting.

Are you an Eagle, Parrot, Dove, or Owl? You’ve come to the right place to find out. Read about the four styles, watch some videos, get a personalized report, and pick up a book or two that will teach you and everyone you know which bird you are.

Let’s fly.

Emotional Intelligence for Students

Social Emotional Learning Programs for Students

Emotional literacy is defined as being able to accurately identify a large number of emotions and to use them appropriately. This program helps students to become more aware of how emotions affect their thinking especially in times of stress or pressure.

Emotional Intelligence (known as EQ), focuses on 5 key pillars:

  1. Self-awareness

  2. Self-regulation

  3. Motivation

  4. Empathy

  5. Social Skills

Program Outcomes

  • Uncover student strengths, weaknesses and vulnerabilities that result in higher self-efficacy

  • Discover ways to communicate more efficiently with others

  • Identify and understand your own brain’s preferences in terms of focus, decision-making and motivation, and awareness of how others have different brain preferences. These may be measured and changed to achieve more positive outcomes.

  • Become more aware of how you use emotional literacy in times of stress or pressure

Social Emotional Learning Programs for Students

. Research shows that when students are in an environment where they and their peers have developed emotional literacy, they see higher engagement levels, better classroom leadership and organization, less bullying, higher academic achievement, and stronger interpersonal relationships.
